Art and Social Space in Times of Control, Unrest, and Isolation
This publication brings together the experience of the ADD+ART conference which, under the theme “Art and Social Space in Times of Control, Unrest, and Isolation,” convened in 2021 various artistic research and production projects carried out before and during the order imposed by pandemic-related policies. In this context of isolation and control—where spaces for interaction, production, and exhibition have been mediated by virtuality—profound reflections emerged on the need to rethink and reassess our ways of making, in light of the fragility of bodies, spaces, and the structures that enable the development of artistic processes.
It includes texts by Bassam el Baroni, Anna Dot, and Ane Rodríguez Armendariz. It compiles the projects presented at the conference and complements the information available on the website.
