IDENSITAT, within the ART TERRITORI DATA programme, presents the projects “Cómo se condensa el vapor de agua” by Natalia Domínguez and S3x3territori by rubiasyrisueñas (Iris Verge and Sandra López Parra)
Art Territory Data creates a framework for reflection and research around the idea of alternate-territories, in reference to places, media, and the positioning of artistic practice, a framework which, as an alternate-territory itself, takes shape in a virtual context, becoming a unitary space for sharing research and artistic production.
The two projects based and developed their research upon these reflections. Natalia Dominguez's “Cómo se condensa el vapor de agua" is based upon the respiratory system, and the different uses, transformations, and transfers of water vapour within urban and industrial environments. In her project, she generated a symbiotic relationship between body and machine, in a workshop centred upon the use of the voice aided by nine other artists. S3x3territori by rubiasyrisueñas, has created a space of trust in which to carry out an investigation which problematises the intersection between a raw, complex, and forced sexual awakening, and the fact of belonging to a geographical and class periphery. Memory as a wound, and escape as a defence against conservatism and abuse.
In this event the artists will engage upon a performative presentation of their artwork, collected in a dedicated website.
