NOSYMMETRIES is a line of work of Idensitat, which, within the Creative Europe Care Ecologies programme, engages in research and the activation of artistic processes which tackle various kinds of social inequality. Based upon a residency, its following exhibition, and a seminar, we wished to explore the concepts of critical imagination and social creativity, understanding the relationship between them as a collective process embracing a variety of perspectives. Dissidence, disputes, violence, participation, construction of the commons, visibility/invisibility, care, social justice, are just a few of the concepts which have emerged during the residencies, and which will be explored and expanded upon in the exhibition and the symposium.

The exhibition formalises and expands the process of the artistic residencies based upon the collaborative interaction between:
- Xeito Fole and Andrea Corrales- Cómo no ver como el Estado (How not to see as the State).
- BajoRufián - Alianzas sexodisidentes de los trabajos sexuales (Sex-dissident alliances of sexual work).
- Cacao diaz and iki yos piña narváez funes amb Florencia Brizuela i Ainhoa Nadia Douhaibi - El Susurro de las Luciérnagas.
- Gabriella Kiss amb Impulsem, Our Common Spaces.
- Idensitat. (Un)Open Archive. Artistic and curatorial project based upon interviews with political-cultural agents, which expands the notion of "care". With Ane Rodríguez Armendariz, Nicolas Dumit Estévez, Ethel Baraona, Florencia Brizuela, Guiliana Racco, Larre, Laura Arensburg, Natalia Carminati, Stacy Bu Shean, Wei Yang and Xavier de Luca.

NOSYMMETRIES / SYMPOSIUM
October 18th
The symposium is based upon talks by guest speakers, and presentations of projects selected by an open call. The symposium brings together diverse voices. The morning session has been co-organised between Idensitat and the IMARTE research group of the University of Barcelona. The afternoon session has been organised by the curatorial panel formed by the artists Xeito Fole, Andrea Corrales and iki yos piña narváez funes, with Idensitat (Irati Irulegui).
Morning program
10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Ecologies of Reparation. A conversation between Basha Changue and Tjasa Kancler.
11:15 a.m. - 12:45p.m. Presentation of projects. An Open Space for the presentation of the projects selected by Open Call on the theme of asymmetries.
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. Equity and Diversity. Conversation between Lucía Egaña, Giuliana Racco and Valia Papastamou, team membre of Centre of New Media and Feminist Public Practices.
Evening program
5:00 p.m. - Sound and poetic activations with the Don't Hit a la Negrx collective.
5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m – What should transvestites be talking about? A conversation between Claudia Rodríguez and iki yos piña narváez funes
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. ¡Putas artistas! (Fucking Artists!). A conversation between Linda Porn, Vera Rodríguez, Cacao Diaz and Andrea Corrales
8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Sound and poetic activations with the Don't Hit a la Negrx collective.
