Airmapping is an artistic investigation seeking to support the ecosystem of the Besòs river using a collaborative, culturally informed approach. Inspired by elemental thinking, pantea considers air as a social place which makes life possible thanks to the organic components of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, as well as creating a space to navigate the human and the more-than-human boundaries.

During her residency pantea brought together artistic and scientific research. In collaboration with OpenSystems-UB they observed specific places on the Besòs river, combining sensory perception with the scientific analysis of the air and the context of the river. Airmapping is a laboratory of citizen culture and citizen science, envisioning  alternatives for the future.

Transversal Aesthetics is a line of research and experimentation on the intersection between art, mediation, and social space promoted by Idensitat and Centro Huarte. Transversal Aesthetics is a confluence space between artistic practices as a tool for critical investigation,  and mediation as a tool for the production of content and the transfer of knowledge. 

In this presentation, pantea and Idensitat invite you to tour  the Casa de l'Aigua space, sharing the experience of their artistic work.
