TV Ciutat Vella began broadcasting in 1991 as a local district television channel, created as an associative and volunteer grassroots audiovisual movement, evolving with the aim of providing local information, journalism rooted in the neighbourhood, and a broadcasting tool for everyone. With the merger of several local television channelswith BTV, TV Ciutat Vella has maintained its production output for InfoBarris as well as a platform for information and an archive dedicated to the district on its website.
